  • Only 20 % of the markets and motor parks have improved water supply facilities within their premises that are accessible to People living with disabilities
  • Only 17 % of markets and motor parks have access to basic sanitation services.
  • Access for markets and motor parks in urban areas are (28 %), while those in rural areas (11 %)
  • The predominant latrine type in markets and motor parks are the flush and pour-flush systems constituting 57 % of all toilet facilities
  • Only 8 % of markets and motor parks have access to basic hygiene services with only13 % having handwashing facilities by the toilet blocks One in five markets and motor parks (20 %) have improved and usable toilets that are cleaned at least once every day
  • Only 36 % of markets and motor parks have dedicated committees to serve as custodians and caretakers of WASH facilities in public places
