Bread of Life is a Lagos-based non-government faith-based organisation promoting programmes, policies, and projects for the delivery of safe and inclusive water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services to marginalized and blighted communities. To assist in implementing WASH donor projects in Lagos and some other states, Bread of Life requires the services of a Project Manager, two Project officers, and a Project Engineer.

  1. Project Manager (Degree in Social Sciences, Public/Environmental Health or related discipline, excellent advocacy skills and experience in conducting evidence-based research using mixed methodologies, strong analytical skills, plus 3-5 years’ experience in NGO-related development sector. Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation tools for project management and reporting, Willingness to travel within Nigeria at short notice. Remuneration: 300k monthly)
  2. Project Officers (Degree in Environmental Health or related discipline, plus 2-3 years’ experience in NGO-related development sector, Basic photographic/video production and editing skills using mobile phones and/or professional equipment. Ability to use social media platforms to promote visibility of project activities. Residency in Lagos mainland/Ado Odo-Ota axis of Lagos or Ogun State respectively, in Lagos state. Remuneration: 250k monthly)
  3. Project Engineer (Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology or construction management, IT skills in MS Project and Autocad plus 2-3 years’ experience in rehabilitation or construction of WASH facilities, ability to oversee building rehabilitation/construction projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Experience in preparation of Bill of Quantities. Experience in managing small-scale works procurement including preparation of technical specifications. Remuneration: 250k monthly)

General qualifications for all positions:

  1. Experience in development work and interest in NGO activities.
  2. Prior work on Water and Sanitation issues is an asset.
  3. Basic competency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  4. Good typing and formatting skills
  5. Good writing, presentation, and reporting skills in English
  6. Ability to communicate in a local language (Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo or Pidgin), an advantage
  7. Young adult, with the ability to work independently
  8. Availability for immediate employment for 12 months.
  9. Ability to relate effectively with community and governmental stakeholders
  10. Teamwork skills.
